THE TRUTH ABOUT

EASTER

Easter is one of the highly celebrated holidays of the year. It is a time when folks celebrate the "rabbit and egg," I mean, "The resurrection of Christ,"..No!..I mean, "the spring equinox." Any way, folks get together and have lots of fun and good times.

If what I just did confused you a bit, well it should. There is something wrong with what the Church is celebrating and what the pagan world is celebrating. I am not addressing what the world is doing, "per say," unless they are reading this, but to those who profess Christ. First of all I must clarify something before I get started. I want you to understand that just because you see great television ministers, radio ministers, ministers of very large churches, ministers who have written great books on the subject, your loving pastor, or mom and dad celebrating this day as Easter does not make it right. It is not Easter, but the "resurrection of Christ," and the ressurrection of Christ only. God would never approve of nor share his Son's third greatest event with a pagan goddest, rabbits and eggs. I believe a Pastor go along with preaching Easter on resurrection day for three reasons; either because they like it, don't know any better or don't care (compromising). Those who know the different probably say nothing for concerned of losing "Easter diehard" members. What I will discuss with you will anger some, but will enlighten others and better prepare them for the kingdom to come.

First of all, the Church should know the different between "Easter," a pagan demonic day, and the "Resurrection." First I'll give you a few scriptures then we will discuss Easter.

Helpful Scriptures

II Corinthians 6:14 - 18 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with Idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean things; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Alighty.

Notice from the scriptures above that God has nothing to do with devilish things the world has involved itself with. He do not share himself with rabbits, eggs, and gifts cards. This is very clear from the scriptures. Then why do the Church mix the Resurrection with Easter egg hunts and chocolate coated eggs and candies? Good question! Lets take a look at some of Easter's history.

Getting Started

Did you know that Easter was also called Eastre. This is the name of an ancient goddess of springtime and of offspring, celebrated by the ancient Saxons commemorating the coming of spring. This is a matter of library history. As it goes, when the second century Christians Missionaries encountered the Pagan Saxons. It was hostile times, and the missionaries feared for their lives if they celebrated their observance of ressurrection on the same day the Saxons were celebrating theirs. So they "COMPROMISED" and mixed, thereby allowing both Eastre (Spring and goddest celebration) and the ressurrection to blend together. The agreement was that the Saxons must do it in a christian manner. NOTE...This certainly is the church views today! They allow any and everything to enter the church for the sakes of good times and so-called winning converts...UNNOTE...
Christian THEN changed the goddest name of Eastre to Easter. ANOTHER NOTE.. If you were born Frank, and later on in the years, lets say, 25 years later, you changed your name to Poppinnickle, "wouldn"t your name still be Frank in soul and body from birth?" Yes it would! You see, in order to do away with Frank, it must not exist. "Poppinnickle" is still Frank. Thats why God wanted the man made gods and goddeses destroyed. "Out of sight, out of mind."

THE DATE OF EASTER

The council of Nicaea which was convened by emperor Constantine in A.D. 325 ruled that Easter would be celebrated on the first Sunday that occur after the first full moon on or after the vernal equinox, or the first day of spring. So the time for celebrating Easter is between March 22 and April 25. Also another interesting point is that the cross which was used for crucifixion was also declared by Constantine in A.D. 325 to be the official symbol for Christians and the cross was adopted as an official symbol for Easter also.

Ancient Egypt and Persia

Easter goes back farther than 325 A.D. Infact it goes all the way back to ancient Egypt and Persia where they also celebrated the the Spring Goddest. The earliest mention of easter that I am aware of comes from the Holy Bible. We can read this in Acts 12:1-8, 1 B.C.during and after the reign of Christ. Lets read, then I'll enlighten you to something. "Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church ( round up and kill). (2) And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. (3) And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of Unleavened bread).Note: This was a feast commemorationg the exodus with the passover celebration. (4) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. (5) Peter therefore, was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the Church unto God for him. (6) And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains; and the keepers before the door kept the prison. (7) And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and raised him up, saying, arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. (8) and the angel said unto him, gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

Keep in mind that we are focusing on a pagan day. A day which unsaved or satanic people celebrate. Let your mind meditate on these scriptures and the Holy Spirit will open up the truth to you. I'm going to help you along too. All right, let's talk about what we just read. Notice that Herod is not a Christian, nor are the Jews who nudgies him on. Herold was having a good time killing Christian. He had them rounded up to be killed. He hunted them like one hunts a deer. He hates Christians. I want you to get this in your head, "he hates Christians." In his violent rage he hunts down James and kills him. The Jews loved it. Inspired by the Jews, Herold hunts down and take peter.

Now here is the part all you Easter loving, pagan kissing, rabbit loving, Turncoattraditors needs to listen too. Verse 4, we read that Herold apprehended peter the day before or on Easter day. But listen at this! Because it was Easter, Herold had his execution put off because he wanted to celebrate Easter. Understand, It's not the Jews Easter, because the Jews were not celebrating anything not commanded by God.

Then it must be a Christian celebration because Herold respects it. That being so would make Herold a Christian or Christian sympathiser. But if Herold respected this Christian day he would not be persecuting Christians. He would not be chasing down Christians to kill them. Rather, he would probably be a Christian himself since he respected it enough to cancel all plains for that day. Remember, he locked Peter up intending after Easter to kill him.

Then who's Easter is it? I think you have finally figured it out. It is a Roman, egyptian, persian celebration. A celebration of ancient idols and goddesses associated with spring, with colored eggs representing the coming forth of new life. Webster 11 New Riverside dictionary states the name Easter also comes from the name Eastre, or Eostre, which belong to the Germanic pagan goddess who was worship during a set aside festival for the spring equinox.

Harold was celebrating a known Easter festival which have gone on for centries. It was his Easter and not that of Christians. After Easter he returned to get Peter to finish the job, but by the grace of God, Peter excapes with the help of an angel.

Summary

You see now with your own eyes and Biblical texts that preaching Easter to the people mixed with the resurrection is wrong. When God called prophets he put in them what to say. God did not call any minister or pastor preaching Easter or any other pagan holiday to carry his word. These are folks who decided to become ministers on their own. The Bible calls them false teachers. Get into the Holy scriptures and receive the revealed knowledge of truth. "And the truth will set you free."
